St. Louis is always a fan favorite

There’s a reason ESPN Magazine named us the “Ultimate Sports City.”  Fans always have something to cheer about in St. Louis.

The 11-time World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals have begun their quest for 12 in 13 as the most dedicated baseball fans in the country descend on Busch Stadium clad in red. The newly renovated stadium offers the very best of baseball tradition with a great view from every seat, authentic ballpark dining and a wide variety of off-field activities for pre and post game entertainment. Check out what Major League Baseball had to say about St. Louis after the 2011 World Series.

The young and talented St. Louis Blues take to the ice at the Scottrade Center to defend their 2012 NHL Central Division Championship. Lead by captain David Backes and young stars like TJ Oshie and Alex Pietrangelo there are sure to be many exciting years to come! Head to the Scottrade Center to watch your favorite players take the ice.

The NFL’s St. Louis Rams take to the turf on Sundays throughout the fall and winter at the Edward Jones Dome. Young star quarterback Sam Bradford is in the drivers seat as the Rams try to return the franchise to the glory days of the “Greatest Show on Turf.”

In addition to sports in the pro ranks, minor league and college teams are also a big hit in St. Louis. College basketball is at the top of the sports menu every March when the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament comes to town at the Scottrade Center. The winner earns an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.

Spring sporting events include the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend, held in April. Runners of all abilities participate in a half-marathon, marathon relay, 5K run/walk, children’s fun runs and a health and fitness expo.
